With nearly four decades of leadership at Kimberly-Clark Corporation culminating in his role as Vice President of Global Distribution & Planning, DeGroot brings profound supply chain expertise and executional strength to SmarterChains.
Throughout his 32-year tenure at Kimberly-Clark, DeGroot held increasingly strategic roles—including Director of Supply Chain Strategy, Director of Transportation Operations, and General Manager of the Eastern Grocery Division, where he oversaw more than $650 million in revenue partnerships—before rising to VP of Global Distribution & Planning.
Beyond his corporate career, DeGroot currently serves as Managing Director at the University of Tennessee’s Global Supply Chain Institute, where he teaches and mentors the next generation of supply chain professionals. His blend of hands-on leadership, strategic vision, and commitment to talent development makes him a strong fit for SmarterChains’ mission.
